Our community has formed a new community company, Gavray Community Meadows Ltd, to own and manage Gavray Meadows in Bicester, securing its future as a precious wildlife haven. Since June 2022, when we held a successful Community Open Event to introduce the idea to local people, we have been working to create the company and to prepare for taking ownership of the land. 

 

Our ownership of the Meadows will be linked to the planning approval for the planned housing development at Gavray Drive. The planning application is still working its way through the system and we are all hopeful of a satisfactory resolution later this year. In the meantime, the landowners are allowing us to undertake gentle management tasks on the Meadows. Click here for latest news.
